I made a promise to myself that I would never be mundane
and that includes sitting in a chair trying for someone else's dream
it's so cliché

and I don't wanna go to bed again and have another nightmare
where my past comes back to haunt me and I live it all again
I'd rather sleep soundly knowing what's ahead

it feels like some people are born with tragedy in their bones
and some people aren't born like that

well I read forums on the internet about things that I'm into
and everybody writing sounds like me except way more annoying
it's true
but I'm not like that, am I?

and I don't wanna wake up sober and have another day go
where the future comes to haunt me and I live it all again
I'd rather die in my sleep knowing who I am

it feels like some people are born with tragedy in their bones
and some people aren't born like that

I'm awake for now
my cycles run out pretty fast now
I can't say how long I'll be around
so we should write this whole thing down
